Fastest “no-ferry” route: I-5 SOUTH → WA-16 across Tacoma Narrows → WA-3 → WA-104 (Hood Canal Bridge) → US-101 N to Port Angeles.

Edmonds → Kingston, then WA-104 → US-101 to Port Angeles. (Washington State Ferries posts current schedules/status here.)
Driving times (typical): Seattle ⇄ Port Angeles ~2.5–3.5 hours depending on ferry waits/traffic; Seattle ⇄ Lake Crescent ~3–3.5 hours

BOOK DUNGENESS LINE“123 Strait Shot” (Clallam Transit): Walk or ride to the Seattle–Bainbridge ferry, ride to Bainbridge as a walk-on, then board Route 123 Strait Shot at the Bainbridge terminal direct to Port Angeles Gateway Transit Center. (Great option if you’d rather not drive.)
Airport → Downtown connection: The Link 1 Line light rail runs every 7–15 minutes and is about 38 minutes from SEA to downtown Seattle (near the ferry terminal).
Finding the Seattle ferry terminal (Colman Dock): Pier 52, 801 Alaskan Way. There’s an elevated pedestrian connector to ticketing—easy for walk-ons.
While the bus is easy and economical, there are a few things to remember if you chose this route:
If taking the 123 Strait Shot to Port Angeles, please make sure to time your ferry to Bainbridge Island with the bus schedule. The bus DOES NOT WAIT and the next scheduled bus will be hours later (or the next day).
